Luxury Airport Hotel in London Heathrow

Hotel: Premier Inn, Heathrow Airport, London, UK

Initially I had booked another budget hotel as the saver rates for Premier Inn had all gone and I wasn’t sure paying full price would be worth it, but a cancellation or extra room seemed to be added closer to our stay and I managed to book the room for £39 instead of £80.

I took the shuttle bus from Terminal 5, the bus was already at the stand when I arrived I realised I could possibly have picked up the free bus but I felt it was just easier to just pay for the actual hotel shuttle and jump on that so I did. I paid £8 for a return ticket, you can pay £4.50 one way or £8 if you purchase a return. The journey took less than 10 minutes.

I arrived at the hotel quite late, around 10pm, I noticed at least three members of staff stood at the reception desks and a number of automatic check-in machines also. It was nice to see staff members ready to check people in who are likely to be tired from a flight etc rather than trying to catch their attention like a lot of other hotels.

I opted to use the automatic machine which asked for either a Surname, Confirmation Number or Payment Card. I entered in our booking surname and within 30 seconds I had our receipt and two room keys.

The hotel lobby area was spotless, in fact myself and mum commented on how new it smelt. The lobby area has a number of seating areas, a Costa Coffee which was fully stocked still at 11pm with Sandwiches, pasta, biscuits, cakes and lots more. The Costa Coffee staff told us they were open 24 hours, even when Costa counter is closed the bar staff have full access to Costa which was great to hear.

I didn’t spend a lot of time in the Lobby area, just enough time to grab a drink and snack, but I did take a quick another quick look around whilst waiting for my drink and noticed a nice courtyard area too outside, which would be lovely in the day.

The bedroom, was very clean, everything looks and smells brand new in the rooms too 🙂

The Bed was very comfy and gave a choice of two pillow types, there are two firm pillows on the bed with a little note explaining that there are softer pillows in the wardrobe.

Other room amenities include a hair dryer, tea and coffee facilities, work desk, work chair, phone, table lamp, sofa, 2 bed side tables, drawers, and a television.

Looking out of our window (room 352) I have fabulous views of the runway.

All in all, I got this hotel at a saver rate for and believe I got a fantastic deal, I would definitely stay here again infact I think I’d be inclined to stay here regrdless of the saver rate being available.

* I also found that there was always a member of staff on hand offering help whether it was regarding which terminal we needed, directions or simply asking us if we’d enjoyed our stay.
The staff are a credit to this hotel, I had a great nights sleep which set me up for my longhaul flight the next day.
