A Snowy Retreat in Folkestone, UK

Hotel: Holiday Inn Express Folkestone, UK

We were due to leave for France the day the UK began to get covered in snow, rather than be stranded at home we decided to leave earlier and stay in the Holiday Inn Express by the Channel Tunnel.

Despite our long, icy journey to the hotel being quite stressful… we arrived to find parking was pretty easy, although seemed small and given the weather conditions I imagine on any other day the car park could potentially become quite full.

On entering the hotel, it was very clean with a bar and fridges for snacks and drinks which were payable for at the reception desk.

Our check in was straight forward, easy and quick.

Our room was a double room, the beds were quite slim but fine for one night, the room also had tea and coffee facilities a clean bathroom.

On top of that the hotel also had a good hearty buffet breakfast available in the morning too which we took advantage of.

I’ve kept this review short, all in all we used it for it’s sole purpose somewhere to sleep before travelling off the next day.

Simple, clean, great for early trips on Eurotunnel.
