I had the pleasure of dining at Hall & Woodhouse last night after being informed that they were a dog friendly environment.
On arrival we were told that the dogs were welcome to stay on the ground level, I believe the upper levels are not pet friendly.
We decided to site in the Pantry area which is a pretty little section at the front of the property.
Within a minute of sitting down we were asked if we wanted any drinks, these were then delivered to our table no more than 5 minutes from ordering them… bearing in mind it was a Sunday afternoon and pretty busy with people enjoying a Sunday lunch.
The menu options on the Pantry menu looked fabulous and if possible I would probably have ordered 70% of the menu… luckily I have some self control.
As a vegetarian there was an ample choice of foods available to me from butternut squash and red onion croquettes to falafel and haloumi sandwich. I opted for the 3 small plate option which was an offer of 3 plates for £12… a perfect way to enjoy more than one dish without wasting large portions.
The pudding menu is another delight all together with choices like earl grey infused set custard with a burn sugar top or apple and blackcurrant crumble and Victoria sponge.
As a group we ordered one of each of the puddings above and have to say each one was delicious, ordered to our requirements ‘extra hot custard’ for the crumble etc.
We were dealt with by 3 or 4 staff members during our time there and each one was extremely helpful, no request was too big and even better they really are well cut out for dog supplying mine with a fresh bowl of water and some treats to go with it.
This is a very accommodating restaurant, if your in bath it’s definitely one to check out 🙂
