Four Points Hotel LAX Airport

Hotel: Four Points, Los Angeles Airport, California

I made a last minute reservation to avoid the long drive to LAX and with that came a hefty $ rate for the night.

Parking – I did the park and fly option. Parking was easy, plenty of available spaces. Spaces were in an outside lot however they are in the hotel parking lot and not an external lot as some other hotels do.

Check in – Good, A staff member popped out from behind a door to check me in which was really nice to see an attentive and friendly staff member. Check in was quick and painless 🙂

Room: King Bed Deluxe, The room was a nice size for 2 with basic but useful amenities including a desk/drawer area, coffee filter machine which coffee and tea bags, a bottle of water for SPG Preferred guests only (I hate this! It’s water… if you can’t offer guests free water don’t bother putting one out). There was also a TV and a closet I didn’t make use of.

Bath Room – Clean but needs revamping, not that that impacts my stay but for the cost I would have expected a nice bathroom and it really was quick drab looking. Also the only amenities in here were a bar of soap.

Hotel Overall – The hotel at a glance looks fine, the bar area was pretty busy and looked nice (I didn’t go in), the lobby area looked nice however the hotel is lacking in something, it appeared to me as though it needed a good scrub, paint job and new carpet. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t so bad I couldn’t stay but when your rate per night is the same as some incredible hotels near by then I guess I’m going to mention it.

Overall the hotel is good but either drop your rates or clean the place up 🙂

p.s. it had that overbearing smell of carpet cleaner everywhere.
