Casino Hotel: Colorado Belle, Laughlin, Nevada
We made a last minute Christmas break to Laughlin and at $22 a night, here are my thoughts although at that price lets not take things too seriously!
Check in:
Staff were pretty slow, in fact there appeared to be one guy pacing back and forth and a young girl who seemed to spend more time pacing back over to the ‘pacing guy’ than she was checking someone in. At one point it appeared to take close to 5 – 7 minutes to get a couple in front of us checked in… granted this doesn’t appear to sound like a long time but they had already purchased their stay online so why it took so long I guess we’ll never know.
When it was finally our time to check in the girl once again stepped away from the desk to check on the ‘pacing guy’, I’m sure this could have waited until she was done checking us in.. not a huge thing but showed a little lack of customer service on her part.
The Room:
Well let me just say this: This hotel has some of the COMFIEST beds ever! Seriously, it was like sleeping on a cloud, in fact the first night we fell asleep really early watching TV having succumbed to the cloud.
The bathroom:
Pretty basic, shower with a seated shelf area inside. The only down side was the shampoo amenity which was just not enough to share between two and seemed to dry out my hair a lot… I blame myself a little for not bringing my own shampoo for this short stay.
House Keeping – Nothing to really report other than we went out until approx 5pm and our room still hadn’t been made up, towels weren’t replenished…
Restaurant Pints:
Feeling a little peckish we decided to try out PINTS, and ordered the nachos which looked incredible although since it had meat on I didn’t try it. I opted for the grilled cheese but had to send it back due it having bacon in it, they replaced with no qualms… the fries or giant potatoes are amazing!
I didn’t head into the lounge bar but we did sit at a slot machine close by and the lady singing was incredible, great background music we couldn’t help singing in our seats.
As for the casino floor, we had so much fun playing the slots, the casino floor waitresses were really friendly and very quick to come around.
We played a few table games and found all of the dealers to be great fun.
Overall we got what we paid for, would recommend if you’re looking for a place on a budget.
